You should not have been charged if the machine fails to vend.
When your card goes beep, that is the card reader checking it can make a withdrawal from your bank and it becomes “pending”. It then gives the vending machine permission to vend, but if it fails to vend or you didn’t get to press the BLUE BUTTON TO FILL the milkshake, then the machine will send a cancel notice.
A cancel notice usually happens because the machine or card reader lose the mobile internet connection for a brief moment and in our neck of the woods that can happen a lot!
Sometimes the machine can timeout too if the vend didn’t happen within the allotted timeframe. When that happens, as a failsafe the vend is cancelled, nothing is dispensed and the machine washes.
When that happens the card reader sends a signal back to you bank to cancel the “pending” payment. This can take a bit of time but usually shows up on the same day
If you still believe you have been charged, please get in touch below, with the time of transaction, location and if you paid via plastic card or app and we will look into it. We will always refund ANY Failed Vend. We need all this information to refund.
